Paradise Lost2024
This Fashion Editorial Project is first inspired by the film ‘Nymphomaniac’.  I have witnessed most of the life of a marginalised person trapped and struggling with an addiction that was beyond her physical and mental control. It can be a sex addict, it can be a drug addict, it can be any morally reprehensible secret that humans struggle with, and the heroine is fortunate enough to face it bravely and eventually find ‘soultree’ and say outright that she's nymphomaniac and just not like everyone else, and that's a new chapter of self-reconciliation.

I think that women have taken on too much moral condemnation, and even many of the so-called ‘sins’ are identified by women themselves, if the genders were reversed, there would not be such strong condemnation.

Through this, I am also reminded of the famous religious story, John Milton's Paradise Lost.   Eve walked step by step towards the trap laid by the serpent, and despite initial misgivings, knowing that this was a fruit that God forbade, she eventually ate the forbidden fruit.   In this way, it was women who initially committed the original sin of mankind.   Adam chooses to fall together, but it becomes a romantic narrative.   The woman came into the world with original sin according to the bible,  and the seemingly harmless listener Seligmen, in the film, ends up attempting to violate the heroine.   This kind of grotesque ending is a source of inspiration for me.   I experienced strong misogyny from the default consensus and women's dilemmas through this.
